GENERAL
Westover airstrip is STRICTLY PPR by TELEPHONE with agreed ETA.
FIS/RIS/RAS can be obtained from EXETER APPROACH 128.97 Mhz.
The airstrip is undulating and rises to the north.
Avoid over-flying local villages (The airstrip is located 0.5 nm NW of and
0.5 nm NE of local Villages ).
Landing Fees NIL to holiday cottage residents.
EU and Channel Island flights can be authorised with 24hrs notice.
CAUTIONS
Ground rises sharply for the first 100 metres of 35 (landing).
There is a tree line on the eastern edge of this section of the strip.
LAND ABEAM THE END OF THE TREE LINE.
Wire stock fences along full length of strip.
Pilots must check wind conditions suitable before flight.
With northerly winds, sink may be experienced close to landing threshold.
Occasional fast low-level military traffic through the area especially
Mon-Fri 0800-1700.
